The exclusivity of your private safari vehicle with the company of a professional driver-guide; means that you’ll experience a truly unrivalled East Africa safari.
DAY 1 I ARUSHA CITY TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Today, the driver-guide will pick you up from Arusha with picnic lunch boxes and hold a quick briefing before we depart to Tarangire National Park entrée gate. Upon arrival at the gate, you will patiently wait for the permits formalities to be issued and registrations. Here you will witness the hustle and bustle of the driver-guides with their safari vehicles rushing to enter the park. It is a perfect time to make a quick short call before the safari begins.
Once the permits are sorted, you will enter the park for the game drive. Tarangire National Park is a lovely quiet park in Northern Tanzania famous for the abundance of age-old baobabs and big families of elephants gathering in the vicinity of the main water source – the Tarangire River. Besides baby elephants and their parents the Tarangire is home to zebras, giraffes, hyenas, wart-hogs, buffalos and many other predators and ungulates. The park will also be a treat for bird enthusiasts. More than 550 bird species abiding in the Tarangire National Park present ample opportunity for bird watching: brightly plumaged yellow necked spurfowls, white crowned shrikes and black necked weavers are among the most frequent sightings here. Late afternoon we drive to the lodge/camp for evening leisure, dinner and overnight.
DAY 2 I FULL DAY IN TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Today you wake up early at 5.00am ready for the balloon safari – a most special safari experience. A balloon flight over Tarangire National Park will give you an aerial view of one of Africa’s most beautiful wildlife area. The Tarangire landscape is a diverse mix of granite ridges, river valleys and swamps. Vegetation is a mix of Acacia woodland, grasslands and the thousands of Baobab trees which are dotted throughout the park.
Once you arrive at the launching site of the balloon, you will be saved a cup of coffee and some bites as you get to watch the balloon crew busy with the final preparations. The balloon pilot will make a short briefing about the hot air balloon activity and safety precautions to follow before you take off. The balloon flight takes around 1 hour and the path of the hot air balloon depends on the wind blowing direction. After landing, you will make a champagne toast to celebrate followed by a tasty bush breakfast. Afterward, your driver guide will pick you up with packed lunch boxes and proceed with a full day game drive (or you may opt for a hot lunch at the lodge/camp and a short rest in the afternoon). Late afternoon, return back to the lodge/camp for evening leisure, dinner and overnight.
